How to connect Mc-Dev to MC Studio via USB

I connected my Mc-Mod120 to a dev board without the battery, but powered Mod120 on via the switch on MC-dev, connected the MC-Dev to the PC using USB along with the mc-gateway. Still.. even though the gateway is connected, the MC-Dev/Mc-Mod120 does not show up in the "Devices" section

You have to connect (in the device management screen) to the test board gateway. Then power device on your board down and up with the switch. (Not the USB cable). The device will show up in the list.

I also figured this out, eventually.

The upload is fast, but no transmissions. How do you get the output of the module to see I things are being published as expected?

I know I can debug etc, but to test "live" I have to unplug the module, then replace it, and the tiny headers don't look like they will take to many cycles before they bend/break (plus I can hardly see them anyway...). I must be old, no! they are just small.
