I have connected a Power cable and Ethernet cable to my mc-gateway. The connection light isstable.
Also, I have upgraded my Application Processor to the latest version.
However, when I try to select my gateway on MC-Studio or MC-Gateway, it does not detect it. Please help.
Also, I was wondering if anyone had any list of steps on how to upgrade the Host Processor via OTA. I follow the guide but I do not understand how to do the power down of the Gateway as it disables the connection.

Hi Ayush,
1) the gateway needs to be on the same subnet as the PC you are using. Can you confirm if you can see your mc-Gateway in the device menu within mc-Studio?
2) mc-OTA - The process is basically the same as updating the firmware on the modules. You do not require a network connection when completing the firmware update on the mc-Gateway. Follow the same process as you would with a module (be sure to use the correct BIN file specifically for the Gateway). When you are ready, click 'Search Device' and then press the reset button on the gateway to power cycle the unit (puts the device into bootloader mode) and then click the mc-Dongle can find the device to start the update.
We do have a guide at our website (http://www.mcthings.com/downloads/) - mc-OTA Quick Start guide and also a video showing a module being updated here: https://youtu.be/hd8K3mdsHdQ

#1 No I can't, the MC studio only shows Virtual Gateway and Testboard gateway
#2 Prior to pressing reset, does the device have to be powered on or off?
Also, since I'm really new to this stuff, how do I connect the mods to the gateway? Are they autodetected or do I have to follow specific steps to connect them?

OK, I got it connected and updated, but even then, when I try to "Configure Gateway" when when I have just connected it, I get:

This is a know bug in 0.6-355. You have to upgrade the application processor. Current version is 0.6-362
-
When I got the "Configure Gateway" error, my Application Processor was v0.6-362 and my Host Processor was v0.7-416
-
The screen shows 0.6-355. If the update is successful you would see 0.6-362 in the GwVersion column
-
I updated it just now using the bin file on the Downloads section of the website, and it still shows 0.6-355
-
I upgraded the firmware finally but still can't configure it. See attachment

Hi Ayush,
Can you restart your gateway and mc-Studio and attempt this again please?
-
Done that multiple times, even disconnected the gateway from the network once and reconnected

I have this same issue on one of my gateways. It is completely up to date, but I can't get it to open the config and it just gives me the UID message as well.
Was there ever a resolution to this issue?
