Title: Erase Failed!!!
Post by: kbrooking on November 25, 2016, 09:44:08 pm
Anyone know why I keep getting this error window popping up with "Erase Failed!!!" message when trying to remove a script?

I may have answered my own question. Please comment if you have experienced similar behavior.

So, after several failed attempts to erase the mc-script on multiple mc-120’s, I tried one last time. This last
attempt I thought maybe I have weak batteries so I placed the mc-120 antenna next to the dongle antenna as
close I could get. After doing this, I was successful in erasing the mc-script on both mc-120s on the first attempt.

So I guess the lesson learned here is if you are attempting to erase the mc-script from the mc module using the dongle
make sure you have a fresh battery and/or place the dongle and mc-module really close to each other.

Something else I want to point out. During each failed attempt, the mc-module would connect to the dongle every time with no problem even
at a distance. So, just keep in mind even if it connects, doesn’t necessary mean it’s in range to perform the erase process I guess.

Anyway, I would welcome others comments on this as well.

Thanks a lot. I tried to use a new battery, and it works.
