Sounds good that you got it to work.

About the pins, when i check the documentation for the mcmodule then it says that Pin 0 - 8 are  General Purpose Input/Output Pins so the documentation seems right?

You could use any pin you like so no need for you to change, just update the code with your pin.

I have only used the sd-card way of moving my files.
So i don't know, but to move the file with sd-card works good enough, I debug in the emulator so no need for the actual device there.

That sounds good  :)

Sure, I pushed some code to the same repository (this code only send data to the display it does not receive any data)

I have made some changes in the code that i not have verified but that does not matter, you will see how it is done.
Receiving data is not any problem, just ask if you need anything about that.

Hello.
I will do my best to help you with this.

I am using Nextion Editor Version 0.38
In that program you drag and drop different "functions" like buttons, text and things like that.
And when you are done you compile and that file should be installed on the display.
You could also debug the project without the need of an display, a very nice feature.

I have uploaded one project on GitHub that will get you started https://github.com/Isaksson/Nextion
It's a project for monitoring temperature and battery.

I have included all images and fonts needed for the project.

Try this and let me know how it goes.

mc-Module / Re: Has anyone tried to use Crouton with mcThings?
« on: September 04, 2016, 12:10:24 pm »
I just took a quick look and it seems be a MQTT Dashboard and then it's not any problem to integrate it to mcThings because they talks the same language (MQTT).

Publish the temperature from mcModule and then you could see it in Crouton.

That sounds great  :)

For information, the mcModules is still sending MQTT so it seems stable right now and the issues starts when upgrading firmware or connecting to devices. When they work and left alone it's stable, and that is good.

That sounds great :) but I get a little scared about the name, I hope that this solution is possible to run in house and that you don't have to use a service hosted in the cloud for this.

I have now managed to get all my mcModules to send MQTT except for one mcModules that no longer could reach the mcGateway.

I had to upload the code again to all mcModules and now it seems to work.

Okey, now I have made some more tests.

I connected and uploaded the same code again on two modules.

Module 1: Everything seems to work fine, the module is sending MQTT every 5 minute as it should
Module 2: After i uploaded the code the module did send update to MQTT once, and never again.

Beacons is still working on both devices.

My plan was to connect again to Module 2 and send the code again but now i cant connect to any device again.
If it does not work tomorrow then i will reboot the mcGateway again and see if that fixes the connection error.

The latest firmware update seems to fix some of the connection issues but there is still much work to do with this issue.

I have now updated my mcGateways and that update went well, no problem during update.

I started mcStudio and started to connect to mcModules to restart them so that I could upgrade firmware on the mcModules. It worked just perfect connecting to two mcModules and everything worked as it should during the firmware update. But on my third device I could not connect to it, I tried many times and also other mcModules but I was not able to connect. I also tried to go back and connect to a mcModule that I had updated but that was not possible.

I restarted the mcGateway and now i could connect to mcModules again. After two successful connection then I had several attempts that failed I did try a couple of times more and then i could connect again.

I have now managed to update all my mcModules, but still no update over MQTT from my devices in my refrigerator and freezer that we all now have been in there for a while and we know that it should work.

I also noticed that a device that had older firmware, when updated it cant reach the mcGateway anymore from the exact same place, so it seems that some modification was made on the Lplan connection? I think it was the .365 update I noticed a drop on other device in Rssi when updated last time.

I will try to upload new code to the devices because a reboot does not fix the MQTT issue, I will let you know how that goes.

Well, you could use the same mcModule for all your projects.
mcDevboard to a breadboard and other sensors connected there.
But in all projects you will need a mcModule and no reason to change that module just because you change project.

43
I would solder them to the board to make sure that the connection is perfect.
That is what I have done, I only have one mcDevboard and one mcModule prepared for use with the mcDevboard.

@helge I understand, thanks for sharing.

I do not use GitHub very much, but I use git to my locally hosted gitserver.
And there I have a lot of unfinished codes but it is also private so not many people that have access to those repositories.
I guess its better to have a working code on GitHub and then later add new features and solve issues.

That's great, will that also be added to GitHub so that we share what we have made.

Not a problem if it's not complete, other users could push changes and complete the code if you like.
