Hi I having a problem getting my mc Dongle  to function at all I followed the steps in the PDF provided and can't seem to get the over the air updater to say ready. I have tried this on both my desktop and laptop both are running windows 7 64 bit and I have tried a couple different USB cables just to be sure with no luck.

I read this post and it appears I might have a dud

Hey Truger44 - thanks for bringing this to our attention. We are working on a potential fix here but we'll need some help from you. We are wondering if your USB port is being commandeered by another application. I have sent you an email to your user sign-in as i have a couple steps that i will ask if you can complete on your computer to help us out. If you don't see that email for some reason, please send me a private message on the forum.
thanks for your patience!

I managed to get the mcOTA program to recognise the dongle. I have a dual boot setup on my computer with win 7 and win 10 on the same computer

Upon installing the mcOTA on windows 10 it installed the dongle in literally under 10 seconds :)

So problem is with defiantly something to do with win 7 or an application that is controlling / commanding it

Right now im happy it finally works and will just use win 10 I guess this might be the push I need to finally transition to win 10
