Gateway ethernet DNS issues..
(1/1)
Bartw:
Hello,
I have spent about 1/2 day chasing my tail on a Losant and Gateway connectivity issue. only to discover at the end of it that the gateway ether isn't getting the DNS from the DHCP server or is generally having a bad time with DNS resolution.
It is only when i set the Broker.losant.com ip address that everything magically started working.
from a ipconfig dumpn on the local machine looks like our network gateway is different to the dhcp server.
However all i can check on the gateway is its IP and that looks valid.
Any ideas???
Regards
Bart

The default gateway is used for DNS resolution. If your default gateway is not also your DNS server, which appears to be in this case, based on your screenshot, you can specify the IP address of your DNS server in the gateway configuration dialog which you have posted above.
Hope that helps!
