Manually Gathering Data Directly from Module
« on: December 13, 2016, 10:33:43 am »

I'm in a situation where the gateway and module are not connecting at more that 5-10 meters away from each other. It might be signal noise or some other factor, but I need to gather the data from the module right now as there is sensitive data that needs to be captured right now. I'm wondering if there is a way to capture the data directly from the module onto an SD card so I can be gathering data while I try to figure out why the modules won't connect at an expected range.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Unfortunately, as it stands, there is no interface on the modules to connect directly to a device like an SD card. There are two options however:

-   You could connect the modules to a dev board and then read the information directly via serial port connection and then record those into a PC
-   You could look at connecting an I2C device that would allow you to read/write to an SD card or other memory device. This would involve finding and connecting that device and of course, writing the library to allow that device to function with the modules.
