I believe I am seeing a similar behaviour. I was reading the temperature and publishing this to MQTT with an interval of 20 seconds. The result was a very inconsistent publishing of the modules and many red LED flashes. After I increased the publishing interval to 5 minutes the modules seem to behave normal. I am using also the latest sofware versions.
